This is an oldie, of an oldie, really, but a goodie. I took this photo at Dream Machines back in 2009.
This really is one of my favorite photographs that I have taken, but I am not really sure why. It could be the car and it’s dreamy colors (no pun intended) or the nicely placed glare and lighting, or the angle…or all of it. Either way, I want to share this photo with the rest of the world (or 7 followers I currently have) again. 🙂
For those of you who do not know, Dream Machines is an outdoor car show that is held in Half Moon Bay, CA at Miramar. But, it is much more than just a car show. They display cars from every era, planes, tractors, motors…you name it! There is also food, a concert, some type of main event (motocross or monster truck, etc…), vendors, etc… It really is a lot of fun. Plus my dad gets to wear his button up Camaro shirt.
My dad, sister, and I have gone to this event for the past few years and try to keep it a tradition. My dad has always been a car lover and worked on them his whole life and has always shared his tricks of the trade with us. Not too many girls know how to check their own oil these days. I would like to say I know more about cars then most girls my age do.
Dream Machines is coming up again, this month on the 28th and 29th. So, yes, this post really is timely.
